With more than a dozen courses within 40 miles, golf enthusiasts can enjoy a full week of golf in the Roaring Fork Valley without playing the same course twice. The Glenwood Springs Golf Club is a meticulous, mature 9-hole mountain course that slopes to the river Glenwood Golf. Lakota Canyon Ranch golf course includes elevated tee boxes that on occasion drop 100 feet to the fairway.

Aspen Glen has Colorado's only natural island green Aspen Glen Golf and is a private course. Ironbridge Golf Club is a top-notch true mountain course, where the drive up the canyon to the 10th tee box is stunning  Ironbridge Golf. Another great course is Battlement Mesa Golf Course is long enough to challenge you but fair for all levels Battlementmesa Golf. River Valley Ranch has won lots of awards for design and the view of Mt. Sopris makes it hard to concentrate on golf.

The famous Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves are natural underground steam baths with 125-degree mineral water flowing through century-old cave floors. The Ute Indians regarded the caves as a sacred place of healing and rejuvenation. These are the only known natural steam caves in North America. Combine the caves with a spa treatment after Yampah Spa. Of course, everyone has heard of the Hot Springs Pool which is the world's largest with water temperatures in the large pool around 90 degrees. The therapy pool is around 104 degrees. The pool is open year round and also offers Spa facilities Hot Springs Pool and Spa.

Winter sports include everything from Skiing & Snowboarding to Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, nordic skiing and sledding.

The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park offers incredible cave tours, a scenic tram, thrill rides Glenwood Caverns. The new $900,000 Whitewater park located on the Colorado River has the kayaking crowd "soaking it all in", this is one of the best whitewater parks around.
